Filecoin’s $205M SAFT Offering Has Been Distributed by CoinList: FIL-USD Trading Now Live
CoinList was born in 2017 out of a collaboration between Protocol Labs and AngelList to run a compliant offering of Filecoin SAFTs. Through that SAFT offering, early backers contributed $205M to the development of Filecoin. Since then, 21,000 early adopters have used CoinList to contribute an additional $600M to projects like Algorand, Solana, Celo, and Flow. But Filecoin has always been embedded in CoinList’s DNA, and we’re excited to support the Filecoin community as the project launches its mainnet.
Today, 56% of the Filecoin tokens from the 2017 SAFT offering have been distributed to CoinList wallets.
And FIL-USD trading is now live on CoinList’s full-featured spot exchange - CoinList Pro - the first exchange with support for FIL trading.
Why Filecoin is a big deal
Filecoin's mission is to create a decentralized, efficient, and robust foundation for humanity's information. It is not just another layer–1 or dapp — Filecoin reinvents a core piece of web infrastructure and the future of data storage.

FIL Wallets and Trading on CoinList
CoinList has partnered with Gemini Custody to provide FIL wallets to the entire Filecoin community - traders, storage miners, retrieval miners, and developers.
All CoinList users including SAFT holders, miners, and community members who have passed KYC can now trade FIL-USD on CoinList Pro. FIL-USDT will launch on CoinList Pro within hours.
Users will also be able to trade FIL on CoinList.co and the CoinList mobile app (iOS • Android) with USD, USDC, BTC, and ETH soon after CoinList Pro.
Congratulations to the entire Filecoin community. If you are part of the Filecoin ecosystem and are not finding the services you need, please reach out.
