Introducing Tezos (XTZ) Staking and Rewards Program On CoinList
CoinList’s mission is to accelerate the advancement and adoption of crypto. We’ve worked with top projects, connect them to developers and validators, secure their networks through staking, and provide them with a trustworthy market for trading and lending.
One of the requests we often get from our community is to provide more ways to earn crypto on CoinList. Today we are excited to launch two new programs on Tezos, a leading Proof-of-Stake protocol, that will allow CoinList users to stake crypto and participate in learn & earn rewards programs.
Our relationship with the Tezos ecosystem goes back to May 2020 when we launched the Tezos + CoinList Hackathon that resulted in 30 projects built on Tezos ranging from DeFi apps and games, to oracle libraries and infrastructure tools. Since then, we have launched Tezos trading on CoinList, CoinList Pro, and the CoinList mobile app.
Today, we’re excited to extend our partnership with Tezos by launching new products that will help our users learn more about the diverse Tezos ecosystem and earn on their deposits.
Learn about Tezos, Earn $6 in XTZ
Through the Tezos Rewards Program on CoinList, users are incentivized to learn about the Tezos ecosystem via educational videos, complete a three-part quiz, and earn $6 in tez (XTZ) for doing so.
Eligibility:
- In order to be eligible for the Tezos Rewards users must be in one of CoinList’s approved jurisdictions and have a non-zero CoinList Karma balance. Karma is a point system that recognizes your contribution to token networks on CoinList through value-add activities (such as trading, staking, lending, and voting on governance proposals). The greater your contribution to token networks on CoinList, the more Karma you earn. Learn more about how Karma is awarded here.
How it works:
- Sign into your CoinList account
- Visit coinlist.co/asset/tezos and click the “Earn XTZ” button
- Watch the three videos and complete the six questions in the quiz
- Earn $6 in tez (XTZ) distributed directly into your CoinList Wallet
Stake Tezos and Earn Rewards
Staking and network participation is critical to the success and growth of blockchain networks like Tezos. With the help of our staking partners, CoinList provides seamless access for users to earn rewards for their network participation while improving the network security of Tezos.
To earn Tezos staking rewards, you must first deposit (or purchase) XTZ into your CoinList Wallet. Subsequently you must lock tez tokens for staking. Locking can be done at any time and you will begin to earn rewards at the start of the next staking period. Staking periods last approximately 42 days each. Unless you choose to unlock your tez, your initial deposit and rewards will be automatically re-staked for the next rewards period.
